Jonathan Rea, the most winning pilot in the history of Superbike, has decided to retire at the end of the season. The Northernish communicated the news through a video published on his social channels. In his career he has conquered 6 titles, 119 wins, 264 podiums, 44 pole position and 104 fast laps. He currently occupies the eighteenth position in the standings in the SBK World Cup with 38 points. Rea also raced two great prizes in MotoGP with Honda, arriving in seventh and eighth position.

“I had been thinking about this day for a long time and finally I decided to abandon the full -time races and withdraw,” Rea explained in the video. “This sport was all for me.
