After weeks of grumbling, Marieke Elsinga tries to brush her image again. The presenter suddenly shines from ear to ear on Instagram: “This is really the best summer job ever!” She shouts.
Marieke Elsinga is recently known as someone who is constantly complaining about work pressure. The presenter does not wind it up: the low point was when she labeled her own morning show on Qmusic as a ‘Kúochtendshow’. Not really the vibe of someone who cycles motivated to her lucrative media job.
Cunt morning show
The worrying thing is: this is not an burping of the last weeks. Marieke has had trouble with work pressure for years. She ran out at Qmusic because of fatigue, and then decided to go back to a four -day working week. The Showbizz seemed too much to her, but you would not keep doing all kinds of TV programs, you would think.
Now Marieke is also a mother and life says it is not easier. She recently revealed in a podcast that if her eyes cannot close at 9.30 pm, she walks hysterically through the house and therefore calls ‘Kúochtendshow’. In the meantime, however, she is also presenting the late edition of RTL Boulevard this summer; So it’s nice at home.
Non-stop
Apparently Marieke himself also starts to feel that the non-stop complaining does not do her image well and so a series of cheerful photos suddenly appears on her Instagram from the set of RTL Boulevard Summernight, with the text: “Best summer job ever 🧡.”
Yet it all feels rather forced. It does not help that RTL Boulevard itself is currently quite unbelievable by playing good weather about the increased work pressure behind the scenes. Although those rumors come from Juice Channel, they are correct according to TV-Duider Victor Vlam.
Crisis
Victor reports in his podcast Victor explains TV That a crisis consultation took place last Thursday at RTL Boulevard. “In essence, it means that people go beyond the boundaries of people, so that they end up in a burnout. (…) That is of course an unhealthy atmosphere.”
RTL has confirmed that crisis consultation. The channel group says: “As mentioned in our earlier statement, we are talking to the RTL Boulevard team about the current workload in the program. This is how conversations have taken place today.”
PR-talks
Boulevard can be much better open about this, because otherwise it will not benefit the credibility of the program, says Victor. “To be honest: if I were them I would communicate much more openly about things like this. They all have those typical PR talks that they debit. Just say what it says.”
“Say things not going well. Just say what you are doing to improve it. That is allowed. I think you are gaining sympathy, because in the end that shows that you are just treating your people well.”
