Companies are urgently looking for young talent at Job Happening

The Job Happening is an organization of the city of Kortrijk together with Howest, KU Leuven Kulak, UGent Campus Kortrijk and VIVES. As a student you can get acquainted with many companies and organizations where you can consult vacancies for higher educated people. As an employer, you can meet students with higher profiles from various courses that are given at the Kortrijk colleges and universities.

Technical profiles and young people with an IT background in particular had the best chance this afternoon to immediately arrange a job interview. Many companies, such as Callens from Waregem, are looking for employees. Annelies Deleersnyder, Callens: “For example, industrial electricians, burner technicians, service engineers, that’s about it. They are scarce, it is an ordeal to find those people.” And if some jobs are so difficult to fill, is the help of Ukrainian refugees not an option? “That is an option. We do not rule out anything. We have not yet worked towards it concretely. But never say never.”
