The German football record champion FC Bayern Munich and Deutsche Telekom extend their long-term partnership for decades to the next decade.
Before the kick-off of the 63rd Bundesliga season with the home game against RB Leipzig Tonight, the continuation of the cooperation was announced in the Allianz Arena until 2032.
Deutsche Telekom, based in Bonn, will, as the main and jerseys, will in future pay over 60 million euros per year to the record champions. The company is therefore a significant sponsorship partner of the highest sales Bundesliga club.
“30 years with Telekom, I can only thank you for the commitment,” said Herbert HainerPresident and Supervisory Council leader of FC Bayern. “If I could wish for something, we also have a marriage beyond 2032,” said Munich CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen.
“You can’t separate good friends”
The partnership started for the 2002/03 season. “Good friends cannot be separated. The t will be on the jerseys for seven more years,” said Rodrigo Diehl, Germany board member of Telekom. The large media reach of FC Bayern counts for the company, as Senior Vice President Michael Hagspihl noted. The club World Cup in the USA this summer was also helpful for the internationally operating group.
