The Azor Bike, the bicycle factory behind the Bakfiets.nl website, must replace the frame of at least 69 bicycles. This is what director Jan Rijkeboer says of the bicycle brand.
In July a recall from Bakfiets.nl started because of a production error at the cargo bikes of the Cargo Long Shimano type. As a result, some bicycles may miss a reinforcement plate so that the frame of the bicycle can tear or break. These are frames that were mounted between March and December 2024.
In July the director of Azor Bike announced that a total of 347 cargo bikes had to be checked. According to him, dealers are still contacting cargo bike owners for a check. Among other things because of the holidays, not all possible victims have been approached.
