After two defeats in a row, Willem II won the first points of the new season in the Kitchen Champion Division on Friday. The Tilburgers won for the first time. That happened with fellow grade Almere City FC: 0-1.
Willem II was not the only successful Brabant team: FC Eindhoven even won for the third time in a row, from the RKC Waalwijk, which was also degraded, and Helmond Sport beat FC Emmen 2-0.
Devin Haen scored the winning goal for the Tricolores in Almere. Willem II lost 5-1 to ADO Den Haag and Sunday in the first competition round. During a Brabant derby, with 0-1 from FC Eindhoven.
The same FC Eindhoven won with the same figures on the own field of RKC Waalwijk. The winning goal was made by Sven Simons and because of this victory the blue and white are in the first place.
Helmond Sport won 2-0 against FC Emmen, thanks to goals from Maik Lukowicz and Lennerd Daneels.
