According to Governor Carl Decaluwé, the measure is necessary: ”Since August 17, the flow rate has fallen under the minimum threshold and there is no improvement in sight for the time being. To limit ecological damage, we must expand the prohibition.”
The inflation prohibition only applies to uncomfortable watercourses. Agricultural and horticulturists who depend on surface water must therefore again look for alternative sources.
