The 30-year-old Dutch athlete did not care about the rain and won a flawless race in 12.45. She beat almost the complete world top. The American Olympic champion Masai Russell finished second in 12.53, the Swiss Ditaji Kambundji finished third in 12.54. The Nigerian world record holder Tobi Amusan finished fifth in 12.82.
Visser sharped her Dutch record to 12.28 last Saturday in the Diamond League of Chorzow in Poland. It is the sixth time of this year in the world. In the final she might have been even harder, but after a misstep she touched a fence and got out of balance. Earlier this month, Visser also won the Hungarian Grand Prix in Budapest in 12.43.
Lieke Klaver triggered in extremis
Lieke Klaver has celebrated her 27th birthday with a podium place in the Diamond League of Lausanne in Switzerland. The Dutch athlete finished second in the rain in the 400 meters in a time of 50.17 seconds.

It didn’t matter much whether the North Holland had won the victory. Klaver was in first place until a few meters before the finish, but she was passed by the Norwegian Henriette Jaeger just before the finish, who won in 50.09.
Revenge after moderate performance
Klaver took revenge for her moderate performance last Saturday in the Diamond League of Chorzow in Poland. There, after a strong opening, she finished eighth in 50.53, almost a second above her personal record of 49.58.
