Brody Roll, a fisherman from Sartell in the state of Minnesota, recently made a lurid find in the River Mississippi. With his sonar camera he detected a car that turned out to be a Buick from the 60s. Roll called in the Sartell police. A few days later he managed to get the vehicle out of the water.

Sheriff Steve Soyka announced on Thursday in a press release that researchers found human remains in the car. The identification number of the car revealed the owner. His name was Roy Benn and suddenly disappeared from the globe in 1967. The 59-year-old man was never found. According to his investigation message, he had “a big sum of money with him.” The local newspaper reported at the time that his wife had died a year earlier. The search for the man did not offer any answers at the time.

The human remains from the car were sent for identification. But Soyka believes, based on the things in the car and the identification number, that the person in the car must be Roy Benn. The case was transferred to the Benton County police, who informed Benn’s remaining family. “We are happy that the family might finally close the case,” the Sherrif of Beton noted.
