Leon Draisaitl stood twice in a row with the Edmonton Oilers in the final of the Stanley Cup. He celebrated a private highlight before the new season.
At the end of last season, the Edmonton Oilers were not able to look forward to the Stanley Cup victory because they had lost the final for the second time in a row. Nevertheless, the regular season for Leon Draisaitl was successful. He was the most successful goal scorer with 52 goals. He also had a reason to be happy privately.
The 29-year-old married his long-time partner Celeste Desjardin before the upcoming Olympic season. The Canadian actress and the German ice hockey star gave themselves the yes word in France in early August and now shared a wedding video with their followers.
In the short sequence, the couple can be seen in the middle of friends and family between decorated wedding boards. It holds at your hands and has stretched it up, while guests cheerfully swivel, applaud and cheer napkins in the air. Draisaitl holds a glass in the right hand.
Desjardin wears an elegant white wedding dress with a Neckholder neckline, while her husband can be seen in a classic black tuxedo. The moment seems to be full of emotions – exuberant, warm and full of joy.
The Draisaitls wrote about the scene: “If the time would only stand still. The best weekend of our life.” In addition, the two announced that photos will follow. Guests of the wedding included Draisaitl’s teammate Connor McDavid and his wife Lauren Kyle. The couple spends a lot of time with the Draisaitls, the women describe themselves as best friends.
Lauren Kyle McDavid already shared photos of himself and Celeste Draisaitl from the wedding at the beginning of August. Under the video she now commented on three white hearts.
