My neighbor, a spry lady from somewhere in the ninety, walks daily with her two dogs. She greets everyone in a friendly way and walks after her four -legged friends at a calm pace. While I get my bike out of the rack in front of our house, I hear her say, “Come, we’re going that way.” The dogs remain stubborn. They want the other way. After a short silence, she shrugs, smiles at me and says, “They always win.” She continues her way – behind two dogs that are barely bigger than my rabbit.
