“Unfortunately it has made me decide to stop the wild romance. Since my greatest friend, guitar buddy and Soulmate Dany Lademacher, the reason in my pleasure in playing at De Wild Romance has fallen away, I am now concentrating on a new project …”, writes the legendary musician on his social media.

Overmand by emotions, he left the stage early on Wednesday evening in Oldenzaal where The Wild Romance performed during summer festival ‘Boeskool Is Lös’. Already during the second song ‘Ladykiller’ it became too much for him. The singer Jo De Roeck sought the task to catch both the guitar work of Lademacher and Hollestelle, but that was a difficult task on his own. Hollestelle no longer showed itself for the rest of the performance.

From 1981 to 2001, Hollestelle was part of The Wild Romance, the year in which Herman Brood died. When the band was revived in 2011, he joined again. The band played Herman Brood’s music, but also started making their own music. Three albums have been released so far.
