After his end at Eintracht Braunschweig, the Finnish national defender Robert Ivanov found a new club. He hires at a first division club.

His expiring contract with Eintracht Braunschweig was not extended after the end of last season. The future of defense lawyer Robert Ivanov has now been clarified. The 30 -year -old Finnish international is drawn to the Greek first division club Asteras Tripoli’s actuator. This was announced by his new employer on Wednesday.

Ivanov will sign a contract in Greece until 2027 and will be available with the number 2 in the future. “We welcome Robert Ivanov in the family of Astera’s actuator and wish him health and good luck in our team’s jersey,” says the club’s message.

The central defender himself is happy about the conclusion of the transfer. “It was a long summer for me, I waited and found the right team,” says Ivanov, adding: “The Greek league is a big challenge for me, I am very happy that I will play here. I feel physically and mentally good.”

Before his engagement in Greece, Ivanov had played a total of 47 competitive games (one goal, two templates) for Eintracht since the summer of 2023. The BTSV had then decided not to put it on the Finn.

With his new club, which had completed the regular season away from the playoffs last year as the table, Ivanov will be against a top -class opponent on August 23. Then the Ivanov Club is a guest at the incumbent Greek champion and cup winner Olympiacos Piraeus.
