At the Frisian village of De Hoeve, just across the border at Frederiksoord, several people were injured in an accident with a hot air balloon. A spokesperson for the Fryslân security region says that the balloon came down quickly.
Emergency services approached the accident in large numbers. There would be at least seven ambulances and two trauma helicopters. According to Omrop Fryslân The big passenger balloon went up in Joure and a maximum of 32 people can fly.
The Fryslân Security Region says that there is still much uncertainty about the accident at the moment.
