DFB star Schlotterbeck trains again with ball

Borussia Dortmund currently has a big gap in defense. In the injured Nico Schlotterbeck there are now first positive signals.
Borussia Dortmund can count on Nico Schlotterbeck again in training – at least partially. The 25 -year -old central defender worked again on Tuesday with the ball and completed passport exercises. A video published by the club on social media shows the national player in unit. BVB also wrote: “Progress with ball on the foot.”
Schlotterbeck suffered a meniscal tear in the left knee in early April and had entered running training about two weeks ago.
However, an operation in the competition is not to be expected before October. BVB currently has big gaps in central defense. For the DFB Cup game next Monday at the third division Rot-Weiss Essen (from 8:45 p.m. in the T-Online Live Tickier), coach Niko Kovač will also have to do without Captain Emre Can (Adductor Problems) and Niklas Süle (muscle injury in the calf). Only Waldemar Anton and Filippo Mané are available as a trained central defender.
