The large victory for ADO was surprising. With the departure of Joris Mathijsen, the club had a restless run -up as technical director and only appointed the German Robin Peter as a new trainer in mid -July.
Luka Reischl headed ADO in the 36th minute. Ringo Meerveld was the same shortly before the break. ADO quickly walked out after the break and after more than an hour of play already led 4-1 through hits from Sekou Sylla, Daryl van Mieghem (free kick) and Illaijh de Ruijter.
After a red card for Willem II’er Runar Sigurgeirsson, ADO scored again via Steven van der Sloot.
Thanks to the victory, ADO is leading the first division for the time being.
