Lars Ulrich, drummer of Metallica, spoke in the “Howard Stern Show” about rumors about a possible residence of the band in the state -of -the -art sphere in Las Vegas as well as about a potential appearance at the Super Bowl 2026.
“I would love it damn it”
Ulrich confirmed that the band is interested in a sphere reside encyo after completing her M72 World tour in July 2026. However, nothing has been fixed so far. “I will not confirm anything because there is nothing to confirm. But I won’t deny it either because we are all big fans of this place of events,” said Ulrich.
The band is actively checking the project, according to Ulrich: “Our managers and production teams were already on site. It is something that we consider, but nothing is firm or officially approved.” Personally, however, he has a clear opinion: “I will not tell you a crap – I would love it damn to do that.”
Ulrich also remembered his visit to the U2 opening concert in the Sphere: “I wanted to experience it myself before I see it on YouTube. I was completely overwhelmed-it was the beginning of a new chapter in live entertainment.”
Super Bowl 2026 in San Francisco? Ulrich: “Fuck Yeah!”
When asked whether Metallica would appear at the Super Bowl 2026, which takes place at the Levi’s Stadium near San Francisco, Ulrich said: “Fuck Yeah, of course we would do that.”
A performance in her home region would be a dream for him: “As someone who has represented San Francisco all over the world for decades, that would be the right thing. It would be the perfect combination.” However, Ulrich also made it clear: “We have not been asked so far.”
New metallica transmitter and intimate club concert
Ulrich was at Stern to promote maximum metallica-a new Sirius-XM radio station that starts at the end of the month. At the start, Metallica will play an exclusive club concert in the 250-person Venue Stephen Talkhouse in Amagansett, New York, on August 28th. Ticket sales run through a fan club loss procedure.
