The chapter of Tino Casali near Eintracht Braunschweig is over: the goalkeeper and BTSV go separate paths. The club communicated this on Thursday.

Eintracht Braunschweig and goalkeeper Tino Casali will go separate paths in the future. The 29-year-old Austrian contract expired on June 30, 2025 and will not be extended. The association announced this on Thursday afternoon.

Casali switched to Eintracht in the summer of 2023 and came to a competitive game for the lions in two seasons. He made his debut in the 2nd Bundesliga on February 18, 2024 at the away game against FC St. Pauli. At the beginning of the current preparation, Casali still took part in team training, but has not been part of the squad since July 1st.

Sports Managing Director Benjamin Kessel praised Casali as a “ambitious professional and great people”, who was highly valued in the club. “Last summer he was close to becoming number one with us,” said Kessel. However, one has now decided against an extension of the contract. Casali is wished for his further career “only the best”.

Where it will continue for the Austrian in the future is open. Its market value is estimated by the data portal “Transfermarkt.de” to 300,000 euros. Eintracht has a rather blank leaf in the squad behind Stamm keeper Ron-Thorben Hoffmann in Marko Rajkovacic on the goalkeeper position.

Recently there had been speculation about Elhan Kastrati. The 28-year-old was under contract with the Italian second division club AS Cittadella and has been without contract since summer. He would therefore be free to transfer.
