Tottenham Hotspur is expected to do without midfielder James Maddison for large parts of the new season. The London European League winner confirmed on Thursday that the 28-year-old in the preparatory game against Newcastle United (1-1) last Sunday in Seoul suffered a tear of the front cruciate ligament in the right knee. Maddison will be operated on in the coming days.
