Kelly Osbourne thanks the fans for their love and support after the death of her father Ozzy.
Almost two weeks after Ozzy Osbourne’s death, daughter Kelly contacted the public in an emotional statement on Instagram. In her story on Monday (August 4th) she thanked the fans for overwhelming sympathy and gave an intimate insight into her grief: “I sat down a hundred times to write this and still don’t know if the words will ever be enough,” Kelly begins her message. “But from the bottom of my heart: Thank you.”

Withdrawal after the death
Since the death of the metal icon on July 22nd, the Osbourne family had largely withdrawn from the public. Only occasionally Kelly Osbourne spoke up, for example through the shared lyrics of the Black Sabbath song “Changes”, which she once performed together with her father. Now follows a detailed thank you to everyone who loved Ozzy Osbourne.
“The love, the support and the wonderful news that I received from so many of you really helped me to survive the hardest time of my life,” writes the daughter of the rock legend. Osbourne describes her grief as something that comes “in waves”. At the moment she was unable to be completely “ok” again. Her post was accompanied by a short section of the song “See You On The Other Side”, a moving ballad of Ozzy’s solo discography.

Last honor for the “Prince of Darkness”
Ozzy Osbourne died on July 22nd at the age of 76. So far, nothing has been known about the exact cause of death. In recent years, the legendary singer has fought with Parkinson’s and the consequences of a severe fall.
On July 30, a public funeral service took place in his birthplace Birmingham. Thousands of people went on the streets to pay the “Prince of Darkness” the last honor. Many fans put flowers on the Black Sabbath Bridge. The Osbourne family Kelly, Sharon, Jack and Aimee, got out of their car near the Black Sabbath Bridge to greet the fans personally. A day later, a private burial followed on the family in Buckinghamshire. Numerous companions and college: inside the music industry took part. Osbourne’s final resting place is reportedly on a lake on the family property.
