The Stadium of FC Liverpool was cleared shortly before the kick -off of the first by two test games against Athletic Bilbao.
The reason for the evacuation was an alarm, it was said in media reports. For the time being, there was no further information. Fans of the English football champion had already taken their places in some cases, but are said to have been asked to leave the arena again.
A little later, the daily newspaper “The Sun” referred to a statement by the association, according to which it was a “false alarm”. This led to “fans in this area of the stadium had to be temporarily evacuated”.
Previously, FC Liverpool had only the starting eleven for the first meeting and a video in which the players warm up and published photos via social media.
In the background, spectators in the stands were already blurred. Liverpool’s German international Florian Wirtz is not part of the first duel’s line -up, which was kicked off despite the excitement.
