These are so -called ‘focus flashes’ and they will be in busy places.
These take a photo that is automatically forwarded to the CJIB. An extraordinary investigating officer (BOA) then assesses the photos, the province of Noord-Holland reports.
If it turns out that the driver actually held a smartphone, he may receive a fine of 430 euros.
