This weekend, in which, among other things, the Canal Parade was held, the center was extra open and five employees were ready to process the reports and assist the victims. The victims are both men and women and come from different age categories, says a spokesperson for the center.
It is not clear whether all the violence has taken place around the pride activities. “It is about both assault and rapes,” said the Woman. For privacy reasons, she does not want to elaborate on the nature and severity of the violence incidents.
The Amsterdam police cannot say on Sunday evening how many reports of sexual violence have arrived. “For the rest, the Pride went quietly and without major incidents,” said a spokesperson.
