Luuk de Jong found a new club around four weeks after his contract at PSV Eindhoven. The Top Club FC Porto, Portuguese, confirmed the 34-year-old striker’s commitment on Sunday evening for a season with an option. The former Gladbacher does not cost a transfer.

De Jong is only the second Dutchman in the history of the club in Porto after the former Oranje defender Bruno Martins Indi (33). For the 39-time Oranje player, Portugal is the fourth country outside of home after stations in Germany, England (Newcastle) and Spain (FC Sevilla & FC Barcelona).

For PSV, de Jong had already played between 2014 and 2019 and had returned in 2022. In total, he comes to 186 goals and 98 assists in 338 games for the club.
