When swimming on the Adriatic coast, a life -threatening situation develops for two people. Andrea Stamaccioni reacts quickly.

A dramatic incident occurred in the southern Italian bay of SFINALE: two young women from Bolzano came to life while swimming – and were saved by Andrea Stramaccioni’s rapid intervention. The “Südtirol News” reported on Thursday. Inter Milan’s former coach was on vacation when he intervened with a lifeguard.

The incident occurred near the Peschici and Vieste towns on the Adriatic coast. The two girls, aged 17 and 19, are said to have ventured too far to the open sea and would then have no longer been able to save themselves on land independently. Stramaccioni and a lifeguard are said to have noticed the situation – and have rushed to help immediately.

Together, the two succeeded in pulling the young people out of the water and bringing it safely to the beach. According to the Ansa news agency, the rescue was anything but easy. For his commitment, the 48-year-old, who now works as a TV expert, was awarded a symbolic red jersey by the coast guard.
