Rain, rain, rain-too much for Cristiano Ronaldo and the Saudi Arabian Club al-Nassr. The training camp in Saalfelden ends prematurely. But not immediately.

Early farewell from Austria for Cristiano Ronaldo: The Superstar and his Saudi Arabian Club Al-Nassr Reisen on Wednesday, five days earlier than planned from their training camp in Saalfelden. “Only the bad weather” is the reason for the early departure, said Daniel Fischer from the agency onside of the Austrian news agency APA responsible for the camp organization.

Agency Managing Director Henning Rießelmann also referred to the “persistent rains in the Salzburg region” at the TV station Sky. The test game on Wednesday against the French first-class football club FC Toulouse (5.30 p.m.) in Grödig will still contest al-Nassr. The departure is then planned for Wednesday evening, said Rießelmann. The “Salzburger Nachrichten” had first reported.

“CR7” and his team had stayed in the noble Hotel Gut Brandlhof. Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund will also descend to the training camp from next Monday (until August 9th). At the moment, the place is “hardly playful and too soft due to the many rain,” said Brandlhof owner Alexander Strobl at Sky.

There was great excitement around the training camp of the Saudi Arabian top club. After Al-Nassr arrived in Saalfelden on July 20, Ronaldo followed last Thursday. As expected, the superstar’s arrival caused excitement. According to media reports, there were several fan runs in front of the club’s hotel, and the safety precautions were then increased.

The immense fan rank due to Ronaldo, who recently extended his contract until 2027, had repeatedly asked the organizers of problems in the past few days. According to Sky information, young fans are said to have even knocked on Ronaldo’s room door and waited for their idol in the hotel ends.

Disappointing for the fans: Ronaldo was not even in the squad at the only test game in front of 2,000 spectators against St. Johann last Saturday.
