Mountaineer Lotta Hintsa says he has planned a trip to the Pakistan Karakorum Mountains for a summer, with a former biathlete, Olympic champion Laura Dahlmeier has been in an accident. Dahlmeier was hit by a stone rack on Monday.

Hintsa is pleased that the trip did not materialize, as the mountains currently have an exceptionally high risk of stone rack due to low amount of snow.

Now, according to Hintsa, the time of the season is usually the mountain.

– I fully understand why he has chosen this time.

As a climber, Hintsa also says he understands why Dahlmeier has taken the risk.

– Once you have planned, booked and invested, it is financially investing in thousands of euros.

Not all risks can be eliminated. Hintsa emphasizes that everyone makes the most smartest solutions as possible.

– It’s not the first climber who is ready to take a slightly higher risk.

Hintsa wonders that if Dahlmeier “was at all okay, he would certainly have somehow tried to come out of his own power.”

– That’s worrying about it.

Due to the difficult location, the rescue helicopter was able to leave today on Tuesday. According to Hintsa, one can even say that the helicopter has arrived quite quickly.

– You can never rely on the helicopter to get there on the same day.

Hintsa himself has “waited for a long night and a long morning helicopter.”

Hintsa says she admires Dahlmeier’s style of action.

– I’ve been following him and I know it’s a strong and good climber in question.

At Pakistan’s release, there will be at about nine local time in the evening, and according to Hintsa, helicopter searches will end in the event of darkness.

Similarity

Hintsa himself has been an accident in the Pakistan Mountains in 2020.

– The similarity is that the helicopter is not ordered just by clicking your fingers. Only under certain circumstances and lightness can fly. Sometimes it is quite small that the helicopter can’t get.

Hintsa had a bad respiratory infection that had to be evacuated.

Hintsa says he is really sad about Dahlmeier’s accident news. He describes Dahlmeier as a friend as a friend. He says he had planned that he would have met Dahlmeier in Nepal, but the meeting failed.

According to first information, Dahlmeier is at least seriously injured. No signs of life have been observed at the scene.
