Johaug told of his pregnancy in his Instagram update on Tuesday, where he stands on the treadmill with a wide smile.
– Hard intervals and heavy breathing, but it feels so good! We look forward to our family to grow in early January.
The update quickly received thousands of congratulations from both fans and sports colleagues.
Johaug is one of the most successful cross-country skiers in the 21st century. During his career, he won 14 world championships and four Olympic golds.
The child is Johaug and his spouse Nils Jakob Hoffin Another joint. The firstborn of the couple, Christianborn in the spring of 2023.
Johaug ended his racing career in the spring of 2022, but made a surprising return to the World Cup for one season last season.
