The European Championship Finals Switzerland 2024 was entitled-and a new audience record.
England again emerged as the winner at the European Championship. The “Lionesses” prevailed in the dramatic final of Basel 3-1 in a penalty shootout against world champion Spain and thus returned for the bankruptcy in the World Cup final. D
The European Championship also caused enthusiasm in the ranks: the tournament in Switzerland reached an EM stock with 657,291 spectators. This announced the European Football Union (UEFA) as part of the final on Sunday evening.
The previous record of 575,000 had been set up at the past Women’s European Championship in England in 2022. A total of 673,000 tickets were available for the tournament in Switzerland, so the utilization was almost 98 percent.
The record of the European Championship from England was already in advance before the tournament start.
