“People come here especially for the peace and view,” says manager Lies Deceuninck. “We are right next to a large protected nature reserve that is not accessible to the public. As a result, there is hardly any light pollution and you see an impressive starry sky in clear weather.”

The three bubbles are equipped with every comfort: a shower, kitchenette, privacy curtains and a ventilation system that keeps the temperature stable. “The structure stays upright thanks to a constant supply of air. You step inside through a SAS without the air escaping,” Lies explains.

A night of Glampen costs 140 euros. “Of course you could also just sleep under the bare sky,” laughs Lies, “but then you get the insects for free.”
