It was a special gathering on Sunday at the World Cup screens in the Georgian capital Tbilisi: the Screen brothers Tristan and Rafaël Tulen from Den Bosch took on each other for a place at the last 16. The eldest of the two, Tristan (34), was 15-7 too strong for his six-year-younger brother.
In the eighth final, the Degenschermer will take on Nikita Kosjman from Ukraine later this Sunday. He won 14-11 of the second-placed Mohamed Elsayed from Egypt.

Recently at the European Championship the screen brothers were still close to a large stunt. In the tournament, the Dutch team defeated, among other things, the first -placed Hungary. Eventually the Dutch swords in the final had to acknowledge their superior in France.
Rafaël was no longer there at the time. He was injured in the semi -final.
