A man blown the facade from his apartment in Eindhoven on Saturday afternoon when he wanted to test a camping cooker. There are gas bottles in the device, which caused a huge pressure wave during practice. He himself remained unharmed, wonderfully enough. “Only some bone hair.”
The accident happened in the Lichtstraat, in Eindhoven. There was no fire to see and there were no injuries, but the man managed to cause a huge explosion.
“I had connected the lighter to the gas stove, then it happened. Probably there is a mistake in the gas set, so that it reacted to the pressure,” says the resident. He explains that he was testing his things so that he can camp next week. And that, luckily, he was so smart to turn off the gas pit.
The front of his facade has fallen down tens of meters. The residents of adjacent apartments were evacuated as a precaution.
