Michiel Vandenbussche and his wife Lutje Desimpel (80) could only go outside via the front door. The connection between garage and kitchen was already on fire when the fire brigade arrived. “A young man on the bike on his way to work had fortunately notified the emergency services,” said Michiel.
Thanks to the fast intervention, the house was spared. The garage and everything in it, including four electric bicycles and some fridge’s, went up in flames. “Our car escaped happily, who stood at the garage player for repair,” concludes the couple relieved.
