Darts superstar Luke Littler reached the semi-finals at the World Matchplay in Blackpool.

The 18 -year -old world champion beat his English compatriot Andrew Gilding 16:14. Littler was never behind, but after a 14: 9 lead in the end had to tremble again.

In the semifinals, Littler will deal with Josh Rock (England) or Gerwyn Price (Wales) on Saturday. James Wade (England) and Jonny Clayton (Wales) determine the second final participant.

At the second most important tournament of the year, Littler has its sights on his sixth major title.

The teenager was only for the second time at the World Matchplay, a year ago he failed in the first round on the Dutchman Michael van Gerwen.
