Kelly Osbourne mourns the loss of her father and rock legend Ozzy. On Thursday, the musician and daughter of the Black-Sabbath front man for the first time came back to social media. With the opening line of “Changes”.

“I feel unhappy,” she wrote. “I’m so sad. I lost the best friend I’ve ever had.”

The new contribution by Kelly-posted in her story over a black background-is her first public statement since a common statement on behalf of the Osbourne family after the news of the death of the metal god. In 2003 she sang the Black Sabbath classic together with her father. Even years later, they performed together with the song.

“With more sadness than expressing words”

“It is with more sadness than expressing words that we have to tell that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne died this morning,” was the family statement. “He was with his family. And surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our privacy during this time.”

Just two days before his death, Kelly had shared a video of herself (and her baby Sid) at the breakfast table with Ozzy, in which he “Good morning!” said. Osbourne died on July 22nd at the age of 76. A cause of death was not mentioned. However, he has had to deal with numerous health problems in recent years. Including Parkinson’s and injuries from a fall in 2019.

Kelly defends himself against AI videos

Ozzy’s death only occurred a few days after Kelly denied Ki-generated videos from Ozzy. In which it looked like the rocker knew “that he would die”. In contributions to Instagram, Kelly made it clear: “Yes, he has Parkinson’s. And yes, his mobility is very different than before. But he doesn’t die. What is wrong with you?”

Numerous companions and artist generations overarching colleagues paid tribute this week – including Slash, Elton John, Motörhead and Madonna as well as Busta Rhymes, Yungblud and Post Malone. John divided an old photo with Osbourne on Instagram and wrote: “So sad about the news of the death of @ozzyosbourne. He was a dear friend and a huge pioneer who secured his place in the pantheon of the rock gods – a real legend.”
