An 8-year-old girl was injured on Wednesday evening when she slid the slide at the Tilburg fair. She broke her ankle at the mega slide that stands at the intersection of the palace ring and Koningsplein. The attraction is closed after the incident. The Dutch Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority is researching the safety of the attraction.
The municipality cannot say how the girl is doing. She comes from Belgium and left the slide on Wednesday evening around a quarter past eleven when things went wrong. How she broke her ankle is not clear.
The emergency services arrived en masse after the incident and the attraction was dropped off. The incident also attracted the attention of what fair visitors.
