TSG 1899 Hoffenheim has to do without right -back Valentin Gendrey for a long time. According to the Kraichgauer, the 25-year-old was kinked with his right foot in training and has suffered a crack of the syndemosis and a break of the outer ankle. According to the Bundesliga club, it will be missing “until further notice”.
“Of course this is absolutely brutal for Valle,” said TSG sports director Andreas Schicker. “After he has just broken his broken collarbone, he now has to cope with the next bitter setback. We will definitely accompany him on his way back and to send him any support that he needs.”
At the end of August 2024, Gendrey changed from the Italian first division team US Lecce to Sinsheim for 8.5 million euros. Since then he has contributed two goals and three templates in 28 games, but also missed ten competitive games due to injury.
