In July 2020, investigators from Utrecht held this then minor Florian D. after a request for legal assistance from Luxembourg. He is said to have had “long -term conversations” about various attacks that could be carried out in the Netherlands.

A spokesperson for the OM says that the investigation showed that D. had “no bad intentions” with chatting and that he was therefore not prosecuted. “Personal problems” of D. also played a major role in that decision. The spokesperson cannot say what problems it is.

The 23-year-old Swede had to appear in the court earlier this month in Luxembourg, where he heard twelve years in prison.
