In an accident on the N34 near Annen, three cars collided this afternoon around 1.45 pm, including a car with a trailer.
Four people were injured in the accident, one of which is very serious. All injured people were taken to the hospital.
There was also a dog in one of the cars, which did not survive the accident. Branders from Annen and Gieten pulled out, just like a aid vehicle with a tap from Groningen. A trauma helicopter and several ambulances were also called.
The road is closed in both directions so that the care providers and bergers can do their work safely.
The police are investigating the cause of the accident.
