Dries Roelvink does not understand the holiday drive of Welmoed Sijtsma and Sam Hagens at all. In Story’s prominent panel he calls their approach ‘very strange’. “It doesn’t score either.”

NPO talents Welmoed Sijtsma and Sam Hagens would initially present their talk show the Netherlands together the entire summer together, but now they have decided to go on holiday for two weeks. While one is on the beach, the other person then presents solo. So the audience gets half a duo for four weeks.

Dries Critical

Dries mentions the situation Story Occasionally weird. “Yes. I think it is a very strange decision. Especially if you meet in advance to how long you will do it.”

The folk singer also feels as if the urgency is missing. “I don’t think the program scores well,” he says, pointing to the low viewing figures.

Consistency

Many’s criticism mainly focuses on the ease with which a brand new duo can be scheduled. Consistency is important in the construction phase of a show.

Singer Marga Scheide, who is also in that prominent panel, picks up her eyebrows about this approach: “Yes. If you agree, you have to take that into account. Otherwise an appointment is worth nothing anymore.”

“So boring!”

As young talents, do you have to rattle with your suitcases so quickly before the program is really on legs? Tina Nijkamp thinks that Welmoed and Sam should get started with their show.

Tina handed out the loss of the Netherlands in the Oranjezomer yesterday evening. “It’s so boring!”
