The police confirm the tragedy, but do not let go of the identity of the victim. “During a show at the port, a person was seriously injured during a stab incident,” the Rotterdam Police reports in a message. “He was urgently transferred to the hospital. Police are investigating the circumstances.”
The stabbing would have taken place around 8.40 pm in a cultural center where the musical was held.
Attendees at the location confirm that it is ‘a master’. “I also had him in group 5,” says one of them. The teacher is said to have been stabbed by the father of a student, there would be an argument who had been playing for a long time, but in which the teacher was not involved.

Other attendees also report that the teacher was not the target, but that he came between two men who wanted to tackle each other. In addition, the perpetrator would have drawn a knife and hit the teacher.
“Immediately attempts were made to keep him alive,” says another, shocked, on the spot. The perpetrator would, says this young person, “not being good in his head,” and also often “aggressive”. There was also a second person involved, iniders confirm in Alblasserdam. “Someone with a criminal background.”
Part of the road closed
People who were inside were not allowed outside, by order of the police, who records witness statements in the evening. The perpetrator fled after the stabbing. In those involved previously reported that someone was killed in the buoys, this person would have walked out quietly. It was reportedly about the man with whom the fugitive fight had. Later sources said that two more men were arrested. Probably one of them is the perpetrator of the stabbing.
