Victoria Koblenko finds it disturbing and sexist that Sam Hagens has asked her a question about the phone case of Princess Alexia on television. “Deputy shame!” She shouts.
Princess Amalia has almost completed her bachelor’s degree and that is celebrated: the RVD brought out a family motorcycle on Monday, and then we see the very family, including Princess Alexia. She appears to have a phone in her hand, which she holds behind her back, but with a striking text: ‘Matcha Princess’.
Algae
This is strange, says Sam Hagens. He spotted it on Monday evening in his talk show Good evening Netherlands. “Victoria, there is a lot of speculation about one detail. On this photo: Alexia’s phone case. What is written on that? It is a sticker: Matcha Princess. What does this mean?”
Co-host Welmoed Sijtsma complements that: “Matcha is that green drink, that algae drink, for people who don’t know that.”
‘Very dirty’
Algae drink? Ehh … Matcha comes from tea leaves, not from an aquarium. Or, as Sam calls it: “That very dirty drink.”
Studiogast Victoria Koblenko on that: “It is really super tasty and super healthy. But do you know what I find so striking? This woman is studying and she is going to do a study below. And then we have to focus on Matcha? She is also healthy. It is a very healthy alternative to coffee, I know from experience.”
Also princess
Victoria has been drinking Matcha for years. “I am also a Matcha Princess, for ten years. Let us stay with her qualities as a student instead of her phone case. Please!”
It disturbs her enormously. She’s coming back to her now Instagram: “I got a question about it in the broadcast and deputy shame, I was over.”
“Stop it!”
Sam goes too far with such a question, says Victoria. “Can we stop assessing women on that kind of details? Why can’t we focus on celebrating graduation?”
“Why does attention have to be hijacked by Matcha? Don’t get me Wrong, I Love Matchabut it seems that men are never judged on that kind of insignificant details ”
