Top model Claudia Schiffer has discovered football for itself: The top model, together with her husband Matthew Vaughn, takes part in the English Premier League club FC Brentford. The couple acquires a minority participation through their production company Marv, as the club from London announced.
On Instagram, Schiffer already presented himself in the club’s jersey. In her contribution, she reminded of a special experience at the 2006 World Cup in Germany: “I was lucky enough to present the World Cup cup together with Pelé (before the opening game Germany against Costa Rica, note of the red.). He told me that football was a wonderful game. I am very happy to be part of a club-and to experience all the special moments and the fascination of this sport”, “,” wrote Schiffer.
“I am starting a new chapter in my life,” Vaughn, who has been married to Schiffer since 2002, is quoted in a club announcement. The couple lives in England with their three children.
In the announcement of the club, Schiffer, however, is called “Lady Vaughn” – a courtesy title that she has been leading since April after Vaughn has been raised to the personal nobility. Information on the scope or price of the participation was not published. Brentford has been playing in the Premier League since 2021 and ended the last season in tenth. The team also includes the German striker Kevin Schade.
