You can hardly imagine it anymore, but in the distant past, Reinout Oerlemans was a real Soaphunk. Now he suddenly looks more like Talpa boss Frans Klein than on the Glamorboy he once was. With its bald head and strong glasses, Reinout did in the broadcast of RTL Boulevard Many a viewer look twice: what happens here?
“The first time!”
Reinout was in the show to celebrate that one of his productions in America has been nominated for a TV prize: ‘The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives’ has been nominated for an Emmy Award. “Yes, it was an incredible special moment. We have indeed been nominated. It is the first time that I have also been nominated for an Emmy as an executive producer.”
He continues: “What you said: it’s the Oscars of the television, so I think it’s fantastic. I have been living here for eleven years now and I think you can experience that very special.”
“Where is your hair?!”
At the age of 54, Reinout finally has a mega success again. “We had a billion streams in the first week of the second season at Hulu. That means that you have a megahit. That is great to be involved. If you have a hit, that gives so much energy and a new dynamic in such a company, so that is very fun.”
