Did thieves take it on the Sports 2000 stores? Coincidentally or not – at a branch of the same retail chain in Egmond, a one was around 3 am on Friday night similar ram squat committed. At exactly the same time owner Dennis van Royen was called out of bed last night.
“I only needed one bell to wake up,” he jokes during rubble. “When I arrived here, the entire store was littered with glass. I thought they had stolen my door, but it turned out to be in the store.”
Let thieves swing license plate
The thieves not only brought a big loot of sportswear, but also left behind. “While cleaning up we found a license plate between the rubble,” explains Van Royen. “The police are aware, but it would not surprise me if they stole it.”
