An alliance led by Saudi Arabia cracked down on a rocket attack by Huthik rebels on Sunday, Reuters said. The rocket attack was aimed at the port city of Jeddah, where the F1 race will be run next weekend.
Neutral Yemeni rebels had previously attacked the Aramco distribution plant. Huthika rebels had attacked Saudi Arabia’s desalination plants with drone planes.
Saudi air defense repelled the attack and destroyed nine planes.
The Sunin according to race bosses have stated that they are “monitoring the situation”.
The second race of the F1 season will be run in the city of Jeddah next weekend. The season started last weekend in Bahrain, where Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc was the winner of the race.
The Italian team finally got a double win as Carlos Sainz came in second on the checkered flag. Third was Mercedes ’seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton.
