In Hoogeveen, a fire broke out tonight in a building on Griendtsveenweg. It is an empty building, in which a fire raged before.
The fire brigade was pulled out with large equipment to combat the fire. Photos can be seen that the flames hit the roof. “As a precaution, a big fire was scaled up because they were talking about a blazing fire,” says a spokesperson for the Safety Region Drenthe (VRD). This means that at least three tanker sprayers and a large water transport are called. In the meantime, the VRD has already been able to ‘scale’, as it is officially called.
It was suggested on the street that there might be a homeless person in the building. “It has been searched, but it has since been confirmed that nobody has been found,” said the spokesperson.
The police have dropped off the area.
