Shortly before the finish, it was exciting on the seventh stage of the Tour de France. However, the ARD had sound problems.
When it was just really exciting on the seventh stage of the Tour de France – 12.5 kilometers before the finish – the tone suddenly failed in the ARD. There was nothing left to hear in the online stream either. Instead, the first on TV and in the stream a banner dazzled. It said: “Please excuse the sound disorder.”
After a short time, the fans were heard again in the stream and the commentator duo in the background. While the banner was still running, commentator Florian Naß suddenly said: “Fabian (Wegmann, editor’s note) and I will now simply get the phone back and forth so that we can describe the whole thing.” This comment was probably not intended for the audience.
Then Florian Naß said 10 kilometers before the finish: “Wait, I hear, it goes over the normal management again.” Then he said to the audience: “So, we’re on Air again.” The duo came back normally to comment on the last kilometers when Uae attracted the peloton.
Tadej Pogačar won the stage ahead of Jonas Vingegaard. Due to the day’s victory, the Slovenian also conquered the yellow jersey of Mathieu van der Poel. The Dutch arrived at the finish line with a gap of just over a minute.
