Dutch cricketers qualify for World Championship Twenty20
8.47 pm: The Dutch cricketers have qualified for the World Cup Twenty20 in 2026 in India and Sri Lanka. The team of national coach Ryan booked the necessary victory over Italy on the final day of the World Cup qualifying tournament in The Hague.

The Kingdom Team will participate in the WBC on the basis of results in March next year. This tournament organized by the American Major League Baseball (MLB) can participate in the highest level. The WBC is also seen as the World Cup baseball. The official selection will be announced early next year.
Jones, who himself participated in the WBC as a baseball player in 2006 and in 2013, has been committed by Albies that he will be there. “We need everyone who plays at the highest level,” said Jones. “I am very happy that Albies now wants to commit to the national team.”
Albies signed his first contract with the Atlanta Braves in 2013 and thus followed in the footsteps of Jones who caused a furore at that club at the end of the last century. Albies made his debut in the Major League in 2017 and the Braves has remained faithful since then.
The Kingdom team is divided into group D with the Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Nicaragua and Israel. The selection of Jones plays the group matches from 6 to 11 March in Miami. The first two countries continue to the quarterfinals.
Water polosters start the World Cup with a large victory over Argentina
08.25 am: The Dutch water polosters started the World Cup in Singapore with a large victory over Argentina. The team of national coach Evangelos Doudesis recorded a 25-6 victory in the first group match. The period positions were: 6-1 6-2 7-2 6-1.

Dutch national team drops on FIFA ranking
10.33 am: The Dutch national team has dropped a place in the ranking of World Football Association FIFA. The team of national coach Ronald Koeman dropped from sixth to seventh place because it was passed by Portugal.
