We know this about the “Monster of the Bohai Sea”, the strange half-airplane, half-ship of China that now pops up

Some photos have revealed the existence of a presumably new Chinese “secret weapon”: a new kind of Ekranoplan. That is a vehicle that looks like an airplane, but flies just above the water surface, and uses the so -called “ground effect”. Ekranoplans were mainly developed in the Soviet Union for military and logistical purposes, but there are very few of these hybrid devices.
